Introduction

Muvi allows you to add multiple monetization methods to your store. You can add Subscriptions, PPV (Pay Per View), PPV Bundles, Pre-Order, Coupons, Vouchers, Credits, Donation, Gift vouchers, and/or Advertisement. You can also add all the monetization methods at a time, or you can add any combination of the monetization methods. (e.g. Subscription + PPV + Coupons / PPV + Coupons + Advertisement, Subscription + Advertisement and so on).

Monetization Methods in Muvi

There are different monetization methods offered by Muvi to monetize your content. You can choose from a wide range of monetization methods including Subscription, PPV (Pay-per-view), PPV Bundles, Pre-Order, Coupons, Vouchers, Credit, Donations, Gift vouchers,  and Advertisements.

You have the flexibility to add all the monetization methods at a time or add any combination (i.e. Subscription with PPV and Pre-Order, Subscription with Advertisement or Coupon with PPV and Pre-Order, and so on)

Subscription

You can add and manage your subscription plans. By configuring subscription plans you can charge your subscribers/viewers monthly or yearly, set up automatic renewals, and offer free trials. All the subscription plans you configure will be displayed on your website/App. Your subscribers/viewers can select the plans according to their preferences. PPV (Pay Per View)

PPV (Pay Per View) monetization method allows you to set value for individual content. When a user clicks on PPV content, he/she sees a popup that they need to pay a certain amount of money to view the content for a certain period. You can set different values for subscribers and non-subscribers as well as for single-part, Multi-Part, and Live Streaming content. Please Click Here to know-how set up the PPV monetization method.

PPV Bundles

PPV Bundle monetization method allows you to create a bundle/bundles of your content. Viewers (Both Subscribers and Non-subscribers) will pay a certain price to watch a bundle for a specific period.  You can make a bundle of movies, popular TV series, sports events, etc. For example, you can put all the series of Jurassic Park or Spider-Man movies in a PPV Bundle and set a price and a period (Like 100 days, 240 days, etc.) for the PPV bundle. Pre-Order

By implementing the Pre-Order monetization method, you can allow your users to buy content in advance at a discounted price. “Pre-Order” only works for content without video. “Pre-Order” will be replaced with the “Watch Now” button, when the video is uploaded or live streaming for the content is available. All users who have purchased the content will be notified automatically by email when the video is uploaded for the content. Coupons

You can create coupons to reward certain customers/subscribers after setting up prices for your content or items in Muvi Kart. Your customers/viewers can use the coupons to buy PPV (Pay Per View) content, PPV bundles, and also buy items in Muvi Kart. Coupons can be used for subscriptions. Users can use coupons to get a cash discount while paying for their subscription fee. You can create "Once Use" coupons (Users can use this coupon only once) and "Multi-Use" Coupons (Users can use this coupon multiple times).  Coupons can be created to watch all content or to watch specific content. Vouchers

Muvi allows you to create vouchers, which you can give to your users to watch content on your website for free. You can create vouchers that can be used only once, or you can create vouchers that can be used multiple times. You can also restrict how many times a user can use the voucher. Vouchers can be created for all content on your website or specific content in a specific category. A user can use the voucher to access any content for free (i.e. no cash value or discount is applicable for vouchers). You can download the voucher status in MS Excel format. Credits

Muvi Credits feature allows you to offer some credits or loyalty points to your users when they activate or renew their subscriptions on your website. The credits earned by the users can be used to watch content on your website. You can define credit rules for subscription activation and renewal. Here you can define the number of credits (For Activation and Renewal) and the validity period of credits. After creating the credit rules, you need to create Content Credits. Here you can mention different credits for different categories of content. So, users can redeem the credits they have earned to watch a specific category of content. Advertisement

You can monetize your Video Streaming Platform by running Video Ads. Muvi seamlessly integrates with third-party video Ad servers like SpotXchange and DoubleClick and provides you with higher control over your Ad inventory and campaigns. Muvi can integrate with any Ad server that is VPAID-compliant following IAB guidelines. You can create multiple Ad Tags (For both SPOTX and DoubleClick) and link them to multiple content. Donation

In donation monetization, users don't get access to the content they donate for rather they fund for the content to be produced/made if they are interested in it. For example, if you want to create content (i.e. movie, documentary, series, etc.) and you don’t have enough funds to create that content. You can raise a fund to create the content by getting a donation from your end users. While defining a donation, you can set survey questions for the end-users so that you can know the preferences of your users related to the content. Gift Voucher

By enabling the Gift Voucher monetization, you can allow your end-users to purchase and redeem gift vouchers. The end-users can purchase the gift voucher using their credit card and send the voucher code via email to other end-users or to someone who is not even an end-user of the store. The gift balance can then be used to purchase both subscriptions and PPVs in the store. The store admin can view the gift voucher transactions in the CMS.
