How to Use Vouchers (Subcription/PPV)
You can create vouchers, which you can give to your end-users to purchase a subscription plan or watch content on your website/app. When a voucher is applied to purchase a subscription plan or content, users do not have to pay anything from their credit card. That means a user can use the voucher to access any content for free (i.e no cash value or discount is applicable for vouchers). In other words, the voucher allows the users to purchase subscription plan/content without any commitments or card details.
You can create vouchers that can be used only once or you can create vouchers that can be used multiple times. You can also restrict how many times a user can use the voucher. Vouchers can be created for all content on your website or for specific content in a specific category. You can download the voucher status in MS Excel format. You don’t need to add a payment gateway to create vouchers and you can create as many vouchers as you want.
Before creating any voucher, first, you need to enable this feature in the CMS.
Note: Subscription Plans purchased through vouchers will not be renewed and will expire after the subscription plan period is over. |
Note: |
In Voucher Settings, you can set Number of Views (For how many times a user can view the content after purchasing it by using the voucher. For example, 1 time, 3 times etc.), Access Period (For how long the content can be accessed by the user after purchasing it. For example, 12 hours, 5 days, 1 month etc.) and Watch Period (Once the user start watching the content, he/she needs to finish watching the content before the watch period is over). If you will mention number of views to 1, access period to 7 days and watch period to 12 hours, then a user can watch the content 1 time within 15 days’. If the user starts watching the content (within 15 days) and stop it after some time. then he/she needs to finish watching the content before 12 hours (watch period), otherwise the content will expire.
Once you created the vouchers you can see their status under the Voucher page.

If you want to delete voucher/vouchers, you can do it through the CMS. In the Voucher page, select the check box in the left-hand side of the voucher and click on “Delete”. When asked for confirmation, click on “Yes” to delete the voucher. If you want to delete multiple vouchers, then select the check box for the vouchers you want to delete and click on “Delete”.
Once you created the vouchers (Subscription/PPV), you can give it to your users for buying subscription plans or to watch videos. The users need to click on "Voucher" as payment option when they click on a subscription plan or on a content to purchase it. Then they need to type the voucher code and click on "Apply" to purchase the subscription plan or content.
For Purchsing PPV Content;
For Purchsaing Subscription Plan:
A coupon is a discount code. You can configure it to discount in % or cash value in your currency. The voucher is basically 100% off. It makes the content to be completely free for the user using the voucher. When using coupons, the end-users will see the payment popup to enter coupons to get a discount and make the discounted payment from their credit card. When using vouchers, the end-user won’t see any payment popup. The end-user will enter just the voucher code and redeem it to watch the content. Coupons are the most common. Vouchers are used in some specific cases such as sharing a voucher with your friends/family.
