Introduction
The Engagement section, located under the Analytics menu in the CMS, provides a customized analytics report and graphical representation of your end-user activity. You can track metrics such as the number of videos watched, audio streams played, total watch hours, and the devices used for viewing or listening. Additionally, engagement analytics are available on the CMS Dashboard, displaying key insights like Total Revenue, Content Views, and Total Watch Duration. You can also identify Trending Content based on view count and watch duration. For further analysis, a detailed report can be downloaded in CSV and/or XLSX format.
View Analytics on the CMS Dashboard
You can view the analytics of your revenue and content on the CMS Dashboard. The analytics are auto-updated on the dashboard.
- Under "Overview", select the "Duration" to view the analytics (e.g., 7 Days, 30 Days, or 90 Days).
- In "Engagement" analytics, select “Views” to view the total number of content (video, audio) by the end-users. Hover your mouse over the graph and view the report for a specific day.
- Select “Watch Duration” to view the total duration of content viewed by the end-users. Hover your mouse over the graph and view the report for a specific day.
- “Revenue” analytics show the total revenue you have generated so far. Hover your mouse over the graph and view the report for a specific day.
- Under “Trending Content”, you can view the trending content according to their number of views and watch duration in descending order.

How to View User Engagement Based on the Views
- To view insights based on the views, navigate to “Analytics” -->” Engagement” in the Dashbaord.
- Under "Type", select "Video", "Audio", "Document", etc.
- Under “Content,” select or search for the content to view a specific piece of content. You can select "All" to view the analytics of all the content. That means, a specific content or selected content is viewed by how many times and the total watch duration of that content.
- Under “Metric,” select “Views” to view the analytics based on the number of views of the content.

- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 content selected in descending order. It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 views).
- You can select "Content" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of that content in the "Graph".
- Under “Breakdown,” select “User” to view the total views of the content viewed by the end-users. That means which end-user has watched the content, how often, and for how long.
- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 users selected in descending order. It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 users).
- You can select "Users" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of that user in the "Graph".
- Under “Breakdown,” select “Device Type” to view the total views of the content based on the devices. That means, how much content is viewed from the website, how many contents are viewed from the Android device, and so on.
- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 devices selected in descending order. It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 devices).
- You can select "Devices" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of those devices in the "Graph".
- Under “Breakdown,” select “Geography” to view the total views of the content from different countries or Geo locations. That means how many contents are viewed from “India”, how many contents are viewed from the USA, and so on.
- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 countries selected in descending order. It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 countries).
- You can select "Countries" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of those countries in the "Graph".
- Under “Date Range,” select the number of days to view the report (e.g., to view reports of the last 7 days or 1 year, and so on).
- Click on "More" to view the additional filters for the analytics.
- Click on "Creator Type" to select a specific uploader (i.e., Sub-Admin, End-User).
- Click on "Created By" and select the content uploader from the list. If you have enabled the UGC feature and Sub-Admin feature, then you can select them to view the details of the content uploaded by them.
- For example, if you select "Sub-Admin," then you can view the content added by the sub-admin only.
- Click on "Media Type" to filter "Primary Media" or "Preview". You can also select both.
- You can hover your mouse over the graphs to view reports for a specific day.
- Select "Compared to previous period" if you want to compare the data with the previous period.
- Click on "Reset" to reset the parameters.
- To download the report in CSV format, click on “CSV” in the top right corner.
- To download the report in XLSX format, click on “XLSX” in the top right corner.
How to View User Engagement Based on the Watch Duration
- To view insights based on the watch duration, navigate to “Analytics” -->” Engagement” in the CMS.
- Under "Type", select "Video", "Audio", etc.
- Under “Content,” select or search for the content to view a specific content. You can select "All" to view the analytics of all the content. That means, a specific content or selected content is viewed by how many times and the total watch duration of that content.
- Under “Metric,” select “Watch Duration” to view the analytics based on the number of hours, minutes, or seconds the content was watched.
- Under “Breakdown,” select “Content” to view the total watch duration of a specific content. That means, a specific content is watched for how many seconds/minutes/hours, and the total number of views of that content.
- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 content selected in descending order (watch duration). It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 views).
- You can select "Content" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of that content in the "Graph".
- Under “Breakdown,” select “User” to view the total watch duration of the content viewed by the end-users. That means which end-user has watched content for how many seconds/minutes/hours and for how many times.
- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 users selected in descending order (based on watch duration). It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 users).
- You can select "Users" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of that user in the "Graph".
- Under “Breakdown,” select “Device Type” to view the total watch duration of the content based on the devices. That means, for how long the contents are viewed from the website, for how long the contents are viewed from the Android device, and so on.
- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 devices selected in descending order (based on watch duration). It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 devices).
- You can select "Devices" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of those devices in the "Graph".
- Under “Breakdown,” select “Geography” to view the total duration of the content from different countries or Geo locations. That means for how long duration the contents are viewed from “India”, for how long duration the contents are viewed from the USA, and so on.
- In the "Summary Table" below, you can view the top 3 countries selected in descending order (based on watch duration). It is also reflected in the "Graph" (top 3 countries).
- You can select "Countries" according to your choice in the "Summary Table" to view the details of those countries in the "Graph".
- Under “Date Range,” select the number of days to view the report (e.g., to view reports of the last 7 days or the last 1 year, and so on).
- You can hover your mouse over the graphs to view reports for a specific day.
- Select "Compared to previous period" if you want to compare the data with the previous period.
- Click on "Reset" to reset the parameters.
- To download the report in CSV format, click on “CSV” in the top right corner.
- To download the report in XLSX format, click on “XLSX” in the top right corner.
How to View User Engagement Based on Downloads
You can view the details of document downloads (if you have added documents as content) in the Engagement Analytics section. Here, you can see the documents that have been downloaded, the number of times each document has been downloaded, and the end users who downloaded them.
- Navigate to "Analytics" -->"Engagement" in the Dashboard.
- In "Type", select "Document".
- In "Content", select "All" to view the details of all documents or select specific documents.
- In "Metric", "Download" will be selected automatically.
- In "Breakdown", select "Content" to see the documents that have been downloaded. You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- Select "User" to view the end-users who downloaded the documents. You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- Select "Device Type" to see in which devices the document has been downloaded (e.g., on Web, Android, iOS, etc.). You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- Select "Geography" to see in which countries the documents have been downloaded. You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- In "Date Range", select a date from the drop-down to view downloads for the specified period (e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days, etc.).
- You can even select a lifetime or custom date range.
- Click on the "Advanced" option to select the "Creator Type" and "Created By".
- You can view the details in the "Graph".
- You can download the report in "CSV" or "XLSX" format for further analysis.
- Select the "Compare to previous period" option to compare the current analytics with the previous period.
- Click the "Reset" icon to reset the analytics parameters.
How to View User Engagement Based on Offline Viewing
If you have enabled the offline viewing of the content (for mobile apps), then you can view the detailed report of the offline viewing in the engagement analytics.
- Navigate to "Analytics" -->"Engagement" in the Dashboard.
- In "Type", select "Video/Audio".
- In "Content", select "All" to view the details of all documents or select specific documents.
- In "Metric", select "Offline Viewing".
- In "Breakdown", select "Content" to see the content that has been viewed offline. You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- Select "User" to view the end-users who viewed the offline content. You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- Select "Device Type" to see in which devices the content has been viewed offline(e.g., on Android, iOS, etc.). You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- Select "Geography" to see in which countries the content has been viewed offline. You can view it in the “Summary Table” below.
- In "Date Range", select a date from the drop-down to view offline viewing for the specified period (e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days, etc.).
- You can even select a lifetime or custom date range.
- Click on the "Advanced" option to select the "Creator Type" and "Created By".
- You can view the details in the "Graph".
- You can download the report in "CSV" or "XLSX" format for further analysis.
