Introduction
Muvi offers a fully featured, white-labeled Fire TV App. The Fire TV App features all the same functions as the website, including user registration, login, search, and filtering. We support Fire OS 6 and later, including Fire OS 7 and Fire OS 8, based on Android 7.1.

Note: Currently, we do not support embedded content from third-party platforms within the Fire TV App. We only support MP4, HLS(.m3u8), and MPEG-DASH video formats. |
How to Preview Your Fire TV App
Before purchasing your Fire TV App, you can preview it. You can get a look and feel of your App through our Onyx App.
- Navigate to "Website & Apps" --> "App Dashboard" in the CMS.
- In the App Dashboard, on the right-hand side of the Fire TV App, click on "Try Onyx".
- Scan the QR Code of the app and install it on your device.
- Log in to the Onyx App using your Muvi One CMS credentials.
- You can explore your Fire TV App virtually before developing it.
How to Purchase Your Fire TV App
First, you need to purchase the App before you request us to build the app. You can do so from the Muvi One CMS. The App is only available for Muvi Professional and above subscription plans.
- Navigate to "Website & Apps" --> "App Dashboard" in the CMS.
- In the App Dashboard, on the right-hand side of the Fire TV App, click on “Buy App”.
- On the “Manage Subscription” page in the CMS, scroll down and select “Fire TV App”.
- Then click on “Proceed to Checkout”.
- Then, click on “Proceed”.
- Click on “Pay Now”.
- Once the app is purchased, you can view it under “My Apps” in the “App Dashboard”.
- If you have already purchased the App, then you can skip this step.
How We Prepare Your Fire TV App
- It takes us one day to build the App by using our default template. (If you want any customization then it may take a longer time to develop the App)
- After the App is built, we will send it to you for testing.
- Finally, after getting your approval, we will publish the App.
To develop your Fire TV App, you need to provide us necessary information through the CMS.
- Navigate to “Apps” -->” App Dashboard” in the CMS.
- In the App Dashboard, under “My Apps” you can view the Fire TV App that you have already purchased.
- On the right-hand side of the app, click on “Publish App”.
First, provide the General Information (see the below screenshot)
App Details
- In the “App Name” field provide the name of your TV App (maximum limit 50 characters)
- Provide a short description of your App in the “Short Description” field (maximum limit of 80characters)
- In the “Description” field provide a complete description of your App (maximum limit of 4000characters)
More Info
- Type your " Customer Support Website" URL.
- Provide your " Customer Support Email Address".
- Provide your " Customer Support Phone" number with your country code (e.g., +91 for India).
- Select a "Category" from the dropdown (e.g., Education, Entertainment, etc.).
- Type your "Privacy Policy URL".
- Select "Distribution Geography" from the drop-down (you can select multiple countries where you want to make your app available).
- Select "Language" from the drop-down (e.g., English, Hindi, Spanish, etc.).
- Click on "Save and Proceed”. (see the below screenshot).

Upload the images required to build the app (see the below screenshot).
- Upload the "App Launch Icon” (size 512 x 512).
- Upload the "App Icon” (size 512 x 512).
- Upload "Menu Logo"(size 256 X 256).
- Upload the "Splash Screen" (size 1980 x 1080).
- Upload the “App Icon for App Store” (size 512 X 512, no transparency).
- Upload the “App Icon for App Store (Small)” (size 114 X 114, no transparency).

- Upload the " Background Image" (size 1920 X 1080, no transparency)
- Click on “Save and Proceed”.
Content Info
Content info is used to inform your audience of any potentially objectionable content.
- For the content criteria "Cartoon/Fantasy Violence" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Realistic Violence" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Sexual Content, or Nudity" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Profanity/Crude Humor" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Alcohol, Tobacco, Drug Use/References" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Mature/Suggestive Themes" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Simulated Gambling" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Horror/Fear Themes" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Prolonged graphic or sadistic realistic violence"select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Graphic Sexual Content, and Nudity" select "Infrequent/Mild" or "Infrequent/Intense", based on the content type.
- For the content criteria "Does your app contain, display, or access third-party content?"select "Yes" or "No", based on the content type.
- Type your "Copyright" statement. You can use the text editor to customize your content.
- Click on "Save & Proceed".
Developer Account
Use Share the details of your Fire TV developer account so that we can publish your app for you on the Play Store. Your Fire TV App will be published by using your developer account details.
- Type the “Developer Account Name”.
- Type the “Tester Email ID”. You can add multiple IDs. You can send your Fire TV App for testing to these email addresses.
All this information will be stored in our database, and we will develop the Fire TV App based on the information provided by you.
Testing Your Fire TV App
1. We will upload the app for Beta testing from Muvi's Developer Account in the App Store.
2. Through beta testing, we will invite you to test the app.
3. Then we will publish the app in the app store from your Developer Account.

Publishing Your Fire TV App in the Amazon App Store
We will publish the App in the Amazon App Store either by using our Developer’s ID or by using your Developer’s ID. If you use your Developer’s ID, then the App will show your company or brand name in the Amazon App Store.
App Maintenance
Muvi maintains the Fire TV App on an ongoing basis. It includes making updates and patches as required to support new app versions and Fire TV devices.
View Number of App Downloads
You can view the number of Fire TV app downloads by logging in to your Fire TV developers account. Please follow the below-mentioned steps to view the number of app downloads.
- Login into developer.amazon.com
- Click on Reporting (see the below screenshot)
How to Provide Fire TV Developer Portal User Permissions
By providing your Fire TV Developer Portal Permission to Muvi, you can allow us to publish your Fire TV App in the App Store. The "User Permissions" feature in the Amazon Developer Portal allows you to set different permissions for multiple users of the same Developer Portal account.
