Introduction

You can integrate MTN Nigeria as a hosted payment gateway. MTN also has a presence across major African countries. By integrating the Payment Gateway, you can accept payments from your end-users via the MTN mobile numbers in Nigeria. MTN supports USSD-based payment modes. During the checkout the end-user gets two options; “Accept Subscription”, or “Once Off”.

How to Integrate MTN Payment Gateway

To add MTN Payment Gateway,

• Navigate to "Monetization" -->"Payment Gateway" in the CMS.
• Click on MTN (see the below screenshot).
• Type the “Consumer Key”, “Consumer Secret”, “Subscription Provider ID”, and “Node ID” (which you received after you signed up with MTN) in the corresponding fields.
• Click on "Save". The payment gateway will be integrated.

How the End-Users Pay Via MTN

When the end-users select the monetization method (i.e., subscription/PPV) and click on “Proceed to Checkout”, they will be prompted to type their MTN mobile number and click on “Pay Now” (see the below screenshot).

• Once their mobile number is verified, they will be asked to select the option to confirm their purchase (see the below screenshot).
