Introduction
Muvi allows you to upload different types of video formats or extensions to the Video Library. You can map these videos to your content. Once you map a video to content, the encoding process is started in the server. During the encoding process, we convert the original video formats to the .mp4 (video codec - H264) format using FFMPEG.
- Muvi allows you to upload different types of video extensions including mov, flv, vob, mp4, m4v, mkv, avi, 3gp & mpg.
- You can also upload MXF (Material eXchange Format), Mezzanine file, Apple ProRes video format (422, 4444, 4444 XQ), HEVC encoded videos, and UHD H265 + HDR videos

Muvi recommends uploading .mp4 videos to make the encoding process faster. Please check the below table for the recommended video formats.
