Introduction

Embed Player link is automatically generated when you add video/audio content in the 'Content Library'. You can share the embed link of content on any third-party website or App, and users can play the content from the embed link. Embed Player is applicable only to third-party websites, not to your own website. By enabling the "Allow Embed Player on Specific Domains" feature, you can allow only specific websites (Domains) to embed your video/audio content, and allow the users to play your content hosted on Muvi One on that specific website via the Embed Player link. However, when the feature is not enabled, then you can share the embedded player link on any website.

How to Allow Embed Players on Specific Domains

• To "Allow Embed Player on specific domains" feature, navigate to "Player" -->"Player Settings" in the CMS.
• Click on the 'Security" tab.
• Under "Restrictions", select the checkbox for “Allow Embed Player on specific domains".
• Type the domain name (where you want to share the embed player link) in the text box (e.g., www.muvi.com) and click on "Add". You add multiple domains.
• Click on "Save".
• Once you added the website, you can view it in the list. The listed websites can play the video when they add the embed link to any of your videos.

Removing a Website from the Allow List

• To remove a domain from the allow list, navigate to "Player" -->"Player Settings" in the CMS.
• Click on the 'Security" tab.
• Under  “Allow Embed Player on specific domains" click on the "Trash Icon" on the right hand side of domain that you want to remove.
• When asked for confirmation click on "Proceed" to remove the domain.
• Click on "Save".
• Now if you have embedded your content to the website (that you have already removed), then it will show on that website.

How Domain Blocking Works

• First, add a domain under "Allow Embed Player on specific domains".
• Copy the embed player link of a content from the "Content Library".
• Share the link on that domain, that you have already added to the allow list.
• Now, remove the domain from the allow list and check the page where you have shared the embed player link.
• Once the domain is removed from the allow list, you can not play the content and a message will be displayed.
• If you will add the domain again to the allow list, then you can play the content again.
