How to Publish External Channels in Muvi One

    Introduction

The External Channel option allows you to publish an existing HLS stream to your Muvi One website and apps using an external URL. You can create a Channel by providing the channel's HLS URL and then making it available on your Muvi One platform through the EPG (Electronic Program Guide).

    Prerequisites

Before publishing an external channel to Muvi One, ensure that:

    • You have an active Muvi One Subscription.
    • Make sure you have a valid HLS URL for the external channel.
    • Make sure the required EPG is available to configure in Muvi One.

    Enabling Display EPG Details

By enabling this feature, you can display the EPG on your Muvi One website/app. When end users visit the “Content Details” page on the website, they can view the EPG of the channel.

    • To enable this feature, navigate to “Content Management” -->”Content Settings” in the Dashboard.
    • Click on the “Settings” tab.
    • Under “General Settings”, enable “Display EPG Details”.

Access Published Channels on the Frontend

Once published, the channel becomes part of your Muvi One content experience. Users can discover and access it through the website or supported apps without navigating to a separate player page. The channel can be displayed with its configured poster, banner, category, and frontend URL, similar to other content available on your platform.
