Introduction

Integrating 3rd-party cue point ads allows your playout channel to receive and insert ads triggered externally by a cue server. This enables dynamic, real-time ad insertions aligned with live or scheduled content. This guide explains how to set up and integrate these ads into your playout channels.

Enabling 3^rd Party Cue Point Ads in Channels

You can enable the 3^rd Party Cue Point Ads for the channels while creating a new channel or to an existing channel. Click here to know how to enable ads in channels. When selecting the “Ad Source” for the “Advertisements”, select “3^rd Party Cue Point Ads” from the drop-down menu.

Integrating 3^rd Party Cue Point Ads in the Programs

You can integrate Ads into each program. Multiple ads can also be added to a single program.

• In the scheduler, click on the 3 dotson the right-hand side of a program.
• Click on “Manage Ads”.
• On the pop-up, click on “Add Break”.
• Select the “Cue Point” from the drop-down menu.
• Type the “Offset” time in HH:MM: SSformat (when you want to start the ad).
• Type the “Duration” of the Ad in seconds (e.g., 10 Seconds, 20 Seconds, etc.).
• Click on the green “Tick mark”.
• The ad will be added.
• To integrate another ad, click on “Add Break” and repeat the process.
• Click on “Save” to save all ads.
• You can edit an ad break by clicking on the “Edit Icon”.
• Also, you can delete an ad break by clicking on the “Trash Icon”.
