How End-Users Can View Shorts

Introduction

Muvi Shorts feature allows your end-users to upload short videos (like TikTok, and Instagram Reels) to your video streaming platform from their mobile devices (Android and/or iOS). The end-users can scroll and watch the short videos on their mobile devices like TikTok and Instagram Reels. You need to enable this feature from the CMS, under the UGC feature.

How to Enable Muvi Shorts

• To enable Muvi Shorts, navigate to “Content Management” -->” Content Settings” in the CMS.
• Click on the “Advanced Tab”.
• Scroll down to “User Generated Content (UGC)”.
• Enable “User Generated Content”.
• Under “Content Access”, enable “VOD”.
• Enable "Shorts".
• Type the maximum video length in seconds that the end-users can upload from the app(e.g., 20 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, etc.) You can set a maximum of 120 seconds. For example, if you set the maximum video length to 60 seconds, then the end-users can only upload a video that has a 60-second duration. The end-users can crop the videos in the app.
• Under “Content Review Workflow”, select “Review Content Before Publish”, if you want to review the content added by the end-users before publishing them.

How End-Users Can Upload Video Clips to Muvi Shorts

The end-users can upload video clips from their mobile devices. First, they must log in to your mobile app and then they can upload the videos.

• To add a video clip to Shorts, click on the “+” icon at the bottom of the app.
• Click on “Browse Video”.
• Select a video clip from the device and click on the “Tick Mark”.
• Crop the video duration to your desired length. Drag the slider to crop the video duration.
• Click on "Next".
• Type a “Title” for the video clip.
• Type a short description of the video clip.
• Select a “Category” from the drop-down.
• Click on “Upload”. The video clip will be uploaded and published.
• You can view it under "My Uploads".
• Once the video is published, you can edit it by clicking the “Edit” button.
• To delete a video, click on the “Remove” button and then click on “Remove”. The video will be deleted.

How End-Users Can View Shorts

Once the end-users log in to your mobile app, they can click on the category you have created for the Shorts and enjoy the video clips. The end-users can scroll the videos on Minis just like TikTok, and Instagram.
