How to Add Nested Content for Shorts

Introduction

As an admin, you can add nested or multilevel content, such as micro-drama series for shorts. The nested content structure includes two levels: 1) Show or Parent and 2) Child or Episodes. You can add episodes of 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or up to 120 seconds, designed in portrait format for mobile devices.

Adding Show or Parent Content

Adding a show or parent content is a two-step process. In the first step, you can add basic content details, and in the second step, you can add advanced content information.

Step 1:

• Navigate to “Content Management” -->” Content Library” in the Dashboard.
• In the Content Library, click on “Add New”.
• Click on the “Edit Icon” to add the name of the content.
• Type the name of the show or parent content.
• In the “Content Type” select “Video”.
• In the “Content Group", select “Micro Drama Series” (you can also select any 2-level content group you created. To learn more about how to create “Content Groups”, click here.
• In the “Content Format" select “Shorts”.
• The “Permalink” will be automatically generated based on the content name.
• In “Categories”, select the category “Shorts” from the dropdown menu.
• Click on “Save and Continue”.

Step 2:

• Click on the “Design” tab to add a poster for the video.
• Click on the “+” icon to upload the poster (Mobile (360 x 480 pixels).
• Click on the “Monetization” tab to add monetization plans to the video.
• You can also integrate “Advertisements” into the video.
• Click on the “Security” tab to add Geo-Block to the content.
• Under “Story/Description”, add a description for the video.
• Under “Search Tags”, add search tags for the video.
• Click on “Save and Publish” to save and publish the content. You can also schedule the content to be published on a future date.

Adding a Child or Episode Content

Once the show or parent content is added, you can add multiple episodes under the parent content. Adding an episode is a two-step process. In the first step, you can add basic content details, and in the second step, you can add advanced content information.

Step 1:

• To add an episode or child content, navigate to “Content Management” -->” Content Library” in the Dashboard.
• Under the parent content, click on “Add Episode”.
• Click on the ‘Edit Icon” to type the episode name.
• Under “Add Primary Media”, click on “Add” to upload a short video in portrait format.
• Select the “Encoding Profile” from the drop-down menu.
• You can upload the video from your computer or from the “Assets”.
• Click on “Save and Continue”.

Step 2:

• Click on the “Design” tab to add a poster for the episode.
• Click on the “+” icon to upload the poster (Mobile (360 x 480 pixels).
• Click on the “Monetization” tab to integrate “Advertisements” into the video.
• Under “Story/Description”, add a description for the video.
• Under “Search Tags”, add search tags for the video.
• Click on “Save and Publish” to save and publish the content. You can also schedule the content to be published on a future date.
