Permanent Account Removal Option for the End-Users

Introduction

The Permanent Account Removal feature allows the end-users to delete their account permanently. With this feature, the end-users can bid farewell to their unwanted accounts and enjoy peace of mind knowing their data is secure.

The end-users have the power to permanently delete their account from any store. Rest assured that even after deletion, all previous transactional data will be retained by the admin for future reference. Plus, the end-users can conveniently use the same primary credentials (email) to create a new account whenever needed.

This feature offers numerous benefits. It empowers end-users to easily remove their accounts from stores if they are dissatisfied with their offerings. Simultaneously, it enables store admins to ensure compliance and get their applications (specifically iOS Apps) approved by the app stores.

Deleting Account on Website

First, the end-user needs to log in to your website to delete the account permanently.

• To delete the account, navigate to “Profile” -->” Account Information”.
• Scroll down to “Permanent Delete Of Account”.
• Select “If checked, you will proceed for permanent cancellation of account”.
• Click on “Delete Account”.
• The account will be removed permanently. The user will be deleted across all platforms (Mobile, TV, Web) globally and he/she will not be able to access the account again. All the favorites, and watch history of the user will also be deleted.

Deleting Account in Mobile Apps

To delete an account permanently in mobile apps, the end-user first needs to log in to the app.

• To delete the account, navigate to “Menu” -->” Settings” in the App.
• Scroll down and tap on “Delete Account”.
• Select the check box “Yes, I want to permanently account and delete my data”.
• Then, tap on “Close My Account”.
• The account will be closed permanently, and you will get a confirmation message.
• The user will be deleted across all platforms (Mobile, TV, Web) globally and he/she will not be able to access the account again. All the favorites, and watch history of the user will also be deleted.

Deleting Account in TV Apps

To delete an account permanently in TV apps, the end-user first needs to log in to the app.

• To delete the account, click on “Manage Account” under a profile.
• Under “Manage Account” click on “Remove Account”.
• Under “Delete Account”, select the checkbox “Yes, I want to permanently close my account and delete my data”.
• Click on “Close My Account”. The account will be deleted permanently.
• The user will be deleted across all platforms (Mobile, TV, Web) globally and he/she will not be able to access the account again. All the favorites, and watch history of the user will also be deleted.
