How to View the Offline Content

Introduction

Offline playback is a crucial feature for any video/audio streaming platform, allowing users to download and watch content (video, audio) without an internet connection. The Offline Playback feature in the Muvi One Mobile Apps enables the end-users to download content directly to their mobile devices for offline viewing. It is beneficial for the end-users in areas with limited internet connectivity, beneficial for frequent travelers, or those who want to save on data usage.

Enabling Offline Playback Feature in the CMS

First, you as an admin, need to enable this feature from the CMS.

• To enable the offline playback feature, navigate to “Content Management” -->” Content Settings” in the CMS.
• In the “Content Settings” page click on the “Advanced” tab.
• Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
• Enable “Offline Playback”.
• You will be asked to confirm whether you want to enable it for the existing video and audio content in the “Content Library”.
• Select the check box “Enable this feature for existing contents” if you want to enable it for all the existing contents.
• Click on “Proceed”. The offline playback feature will be enabled.
• When you visit the “Content Library” you can see that the offline playback is enabled for the content.
• You can disable the offline playback for the individual video and audio content.

Downloading Content for Offline Playback

• To download any content for offline viewing, click on the content
• In the content details page, click on the download icon (see the below screenshot).

• When you get prompted, click on “Download”, and the content will be available to download in different resolutions (see the below screenshot).
• The end-users can select their desired resolution and download the content.

How to View the Offline Content

You can access your saved content from “My Download” on your mobile device. All your saved content will be listed under “My Downloads”.

• To play any offline content, click on “My Download” (see the below screenshot).
• Click on any content from the list. The content will start playing
