Introduction

PayPal is an all-in-one online payment solution that is both a merchant account and a payment gateway. You can add PayPal Standard Checkout, a hosted Payment Gateway, to accept payments from your end-users.

Integrating PayPal Standard Checkout Payment Gateway

• To add a PayPal payment gateway,
• Navigate to "Monetization" --> "Payment Gateways" in the Dashboard.
• Click on PayPal (see the screenshot below)
• Type the Client ID and Client Secret in the corresponding fields you received from the service provider.
• Then click on "Save". (see the screenshot below)

• After integrating PayPal, you will be prompted for a test transaction.
• To test a transaction, you need to provide your Credit Card details and Billing Address.
• To complete the process, click on "Complete Integration" (see the below screenshot).

Note:

• PayPal Standard Checkout supports payment methods, including Subscription (recurring), and one-time payment methods, including PPV (Pay Per View).
•  The end-users with a PayPal account can purchase any subscription plan using a credit card, debit card, or PayPal Digital Wallet. However, the end-users who do not have a PayPal account can only purchase content using a one-time payment method like PPV. They cannot purchase any subscription plan.
• It supports multiple currencies from different countries.
• Supported Payment Methods: End-users can pay using their Credit Card, Debit Card, or PayPal account (i.e., via Credit Card, Debit Card, and PayPal digital Wallet).
• Mobile API is also available for PayPal Standard Checkout.

How to Integrate Webhook

By integrating webhooks with your PayPal payment gateway, you can automate responses to various payment-related events. This ensures that your system remains up-to-date with real-time information regarding transactions, subscriptions, and refunds. Following these steps will help you efficiently manage these events and provide a seamless experience for your users.
