Introduction

There are various options available to install apk file to an Android TV. You can install the apk file through the file browser or app installer or you can do it through your email. Before installing the apk file to your Android TV you need to change the security settings. You need to enable “Install from Unknow Sources” in settings. (App Drawer --> Settings --> Security and Restrictions)

Installing Through File Browser/App Installer

• Download and store the apk file in a USB drive.
• Insert the USB drive to Android TV Box’s USB Port.
• Go to the App Installer or File Browser (Where you can view the apk file)
• Click on the apk file.
• You will get prompted to install the apk file. Click on “Install” to begin the installation.
• Wait for some time. It will show "Open" and "Done" option after the successful installation.
• Click on "Open" to open the app or you can go to "My Apps" section to open the app.

Installing Through Email

You can also install the apk file to your Android TV through your email.

• Open your email in the Android TV.
• Open the attached apk file.
• Click on the apk file.
• You will get prompted to install the apk file. Click on “Install” to begin the installation.
• Wait for some time. It will show "Open" and "Done" option after the successful installation.
• Click on "Open" to open the app or you can go to "My Apps" section to open the app.

User Authentication to Access Content

After installing the TV app the users need to login to their account to access the content. This prevents unauthorized access of your content.
