Access Multiple Stores with Single Login

Introduction

If you have added an Admin to access more than one stores, then he/she can access multiple stores with single login. That means the Admin doesn’t have to login to different stores by using separate email address and password. At the time of login, the Admin will be asked, for which store he/she wants to login.  If Admin is already logged into one store and wants to switch to another store, then he/she will be asked to switch store when he/she clicks on the logout option in CMS. Here the Admin can easily switch from one store to another without the need of logging in again.

How to Add Admin to Stores

To allow an Admin to access multiple stores with single login, first you need to add that Admin to different stores with the one email address. (If the Admin's email address is xyz@muvi.com then you need to use this email address to add the Admin to all stores)

To add new Admin to your store, go to “Settings” --> “Manage Permissions” in your CMS

1. Under Manage Permissions, click on “New Administrator” (See Below Screenshot)
2. A window will popup. Type the Name and Email Address of new Administrator
3. Click on “Submit”

Once you add a new Administrator, he/she will get the login credentials (Login URL, User Name and Password) in his/her email to login to your store. The email which the Admin receives is look like the following screenshot. 

The new Administrator will be listed under “Manage Permissions”. Here you can see his/her Name, Email Address and Permission granted to him/her. This way you can add the Admin to different stores with the same email address.

Select Store at Login

When the Admin logins to store, he/she will get the option to choose which store he/she wants to login. Then the Admin can select one store from the drop-down list to login. (See Below Screenshot)

The Admin needs to select the store from the list and then click on “Login”. He/she will be asked for confirmation. The Admin needs to click on “Ok” to login to that store.

How to Switch Store

Once the Admin is logged in to one store and then wants to switch to another store, then he/she needs to click on the “Logout” option on the right-hand side of “Preview Website” (See Below Screenshot) The Admin can see a list of stores. He/she can simply click on the store that he/she wants to switch. Then the Admin will be asked for confirmation. He/she needs to click on “Ok” to switch the store.

Note: If an Admin chooses to logout of the store then he/she needs to click on “Logout”.
