Introduction
Muvi Playout’s SRT Push feature empowers broadcasters to deliver seamless, real-time, and low-latency live streams directly to third-party platforms, including satellite teleports, CDNs, and OTT services. Whether you're a TV network, sports league, media house, or event organizer, SRT Push helps you reach your audience reliably from virtually anywhere.
What is SRT Push?
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is a protocol that enables high-quality, secure video streaming over unpredictable networks such as the public internet. SRT Push lets you send (push) your live Muvi Playout Channel stream to an external destination, such as:
- Satellite uplinks
- Cloud-based streaming platforms
- CDN ingest servers
- Social media encoders
- Corporate broadcast systems
Key Benefits
- Simplified Satellite Broadcasting
Traditionally, satellite uplinks required expensive infrastructure and fixed locations. With SRT Push, you can stream live from your Muvi Playout environment to satellite teleports over the internet—there is no need for satellite trucks or uplink stations.
Stream from any location using the public internet, making remote live broadcasting easier than ever—even in areas without fixed broadcast setups.
Keep delays under 2 seconds. Perfect for live sports, auctions, and real-time interactive experiences.
AES encryption ensures your stream is protected against unauthorized access—ideal for corporate meetings, medical events, and internal communications.
- Smooth Performance on Unstable Networks
SRT automatically adjusts for jitter, packet loss, and network congestion to maintain high-quality, uninterrupted streaming.
- Efficient Bandwidth Usage
Delivers high video and audio quality even on slow connections by dynamically adjusting to available bandwidth.
- Stream to Multiple Destinations
Push your stream to multiple platforms simultaneously—OTT services, satellite partners, and social channels—without additional encoders.
