How to Record a Live Stream

Introduction

By enabling the ‘Auto Record’ feature in Muvi Live, you can record your live stream(s) (video, audio). You can enable the recording feature for selected live streams. The live stream(s) will be recorded and stored in the ‘Asset Library’. You can download the recorded live stream(s) in MP4 format from the Asset Library.

How to Enable Record Stream in Muvi Live

You can enable the ‘Record Stream’ feature while adding live stream content or while editing the content.

To enable the auto record option, navigate to "Content Management" -->"Content Library" in the CMS.
Under live content, click on the "Edit Icon".
In the content edit page, click on the "Advanced" tab.
Select "Auto record".
Click on “Save”.

You can start the live stream. Once you stop the live stream, the live stream will be stopped, and the recorded stream will be available in the “Asset Library” after a few minutes.

Note:

There is no maximum or minimum time limit for the live stream. Recordings of live streams of any duration will be available in the Asset Library.
You will be charged for bandwidth usage while downloading a recorded stream.
You will be charged for storage usage for all live stream recordings, no matter how long you want to keep the recorded live stream content in the Asset Library.
The live streams which are added on the Muvi Live CMS website and then streamed using the Muvi Live App can be recorded. Only the live streams that are both added and streamed in the Muvi Live app can be recorded.
You can also record the audio live stream. The recording will be available in MP4 format in the Asset Library.

How to Download a Recorded Live Stream

Once the live stream is stopped, the recorded stream will be available after a few minutes in the “Asset Library”.

To view and download the recorded live stream content, navigate to "Content Management" --> "Content Library" in the CMS.
Click on the "Assets" on the right-hand side.
You can view the recorded live stream content under the Assets.
On the right-hand side of the recorded live stream, click on the “Download Icon” to download the recorded stream. The stream will be downloaded to your device.
