How to Manage Avatar Library

Introduction

The Avatar Library in the Muvi Dashboard allows you to create and manage a collection of profile avatars for your end users. You can upload custom avatars, organize your avatar collection, replace or delete existing avatars, and designate a default avatar.

End users can select from the avatars available in the Avatar Library when creating or editing profiles using the Multiple Profiles feature.

Accessing the Avatar Library

• To access the “Avatar Library”, navigate to “User Management” --> "Settings” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Avatar Library” tab.
• The Avatar Library displays all the available profile avatars in a grid layout.
• You can use the filtering option in the Avatar Library to filter and view the existing Avatars in New-Old, Old-New, A-Z, and Z-A formats.

Adding a New Avatar

You can add new Avatars to the Avatar Library.

• To add a new Avatar, navigate to “User Management” --> "Settings” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Avatar Library” tab.
• Click on the “Add New Avatar” button.
• On the pop-up, click on the “+ icon” and select the Avatar (in 200X200 px) from your computer in PNG, JPEG, or WebP
• Click on “Save”.
• The Avatar will be added to the list of Avatars.
• Repeat the process to add more Avatars.

How to Edit or Replace an Avatar

You can replace an existing avatar while maintaining your avatar collection.

• To edit an existing Avatar, navigate to “User Management” -->” Settings” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Avatar Library” tab.
• Click on the “Edit Icon” under an Avatar that you want to edit.
• In the pop-up, click on the 3 dots on the right-hand side of the Avatar.
• Click on “Replace”.
• Select the Avatar from your computer.
• Click on “Update”.
• The Avatar will be replaced with the new one.

How to Delete an Avatar

• To delete an existing Avatar, navigate to “User Management” -->” Settings” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Avatar Library” tab.
• Click on the “Trashcan Icon” under an Avatar that you want to delete.
• When asked for confirmation, click on “Proceed” to delete the Avatar.
• The Avatar will be deleted.

How to Set a Default Profile Avatar

You can designate any avatar in the library as the default profile avatar.

• To set an existing Avatar as the default profile Avatar, navigate to “User Management” -->”Settings” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Avatar Library” tab.
• Click on the “Star Icon” on the Avatar that you want to set as the default one.
• The Avatar will be set as a default.

How End Users Select an Avatar

When end users create a new profile using the Multiple Profiles feature, they can select an avatar from the collection configured in the Avatar Library. They can also change their existing Avatar from the Avatar collection.

• To select a profile Avatar for a new profile, navigate to “Profile” -->” Manage Profile”.
• Click on “Add Profile”.
• Type a “Profile Name”
• Click on the “Edit Icon” on the existing Avatar.
• Under the “Avatar Image”, click on “Edit Profile Image”.
• Select your preferred image from the collection.
• Click on “Done”.
• Then click on “Add”.
• The new profile will be added.
