Introduction
Enabling webcam and screenshare-based live streaming in Muvi Live, allows you to go live directly using your webcam and share your screen without requiring any encoder software (e.g., OBS, vMIX, etc.). By leveraging WebRTC technology, this feature ensures a seamless user experience, low latency, and quick setup, making live streaming more accessible and efficient.

Adding a Live Stream
Creating a live stream is a 2-step process. In the first step, add the basic details of the live stream. In the second step, you need to add advanced options like poster/banners, monetization, security, etc.
Step 1:
- Navigate to “Content Management” --> “Content Library” in the Dashboard.
- In the “Content Library”, click on “Add New”.
- Click on the “Edit Icon” to type the live stream name.
- In the “Content Type”, select “Live Stream”.
- In the “Encoding Profile,” select an encoding profile from the drop-down. If you have not created any encoding profile, you can select the default profile.
- In “Categories”, select a category from the list. You can select multiple categories also.
- Click on “Manage Source” to select the source for your live stream.
- Select “Webcam or Screen via Browser” from the drop-down list.
- Select the “Nearest Location” from the drop-down menu. You can select the server closest to your location for better streaming performance.
- Click on "Confirm".
- Click on “Save and Continue”.
Step 2:
- Click on the “Design Tab” to add a poster for the live stream.
- Click on the “+” icon to upload a poster from your local computer or from the Assets.
- Click on the “Monetization” tab if you want to monetize your live streams.
- You can also enable “Advertisements” to integrate ads into your live streams.
- Click on the “Security Tab” to add Geo-Blocks for your live streams. You can block your live streams for specific countries.
- You can enable “Password” to protect your live streams with a password (optional).
- Click on the “Advanced” tab to enable the “Auto Record” options for the live stream. The live stream will automatically record, and once it is stopped, it will be available in the “Assets” section of the content library.
- Type a “Story or Description" about the live stream.
- You can “Search Tags” for the live stream.
- Click on “Save” to save the details.
