Introduction

Muvi One allows you to Live Stream any existing video feed. Your viewers can view the live streaming of the content via the Website, iOS, Android, and Roku apps. We support the HLS Feed URLs in live streaming. First, you need to add the content to the CMS. While adding the content, you need to type the URL of the existing video feed (HLS). After adding the content, your users can watch the live streaming of the video when they click on the content on your website/app.

Adding Live Streaming Content

• To add a live stream using the Feed URL, navigate to “Content Management” -->” Content Library” in the CMS.
• Under the “Content Library” tab, click on “Add Content” on the extreme right-hand side.
• Select the “Video” from the drop-down in the “Content-Type” field.
• The content format will be selected as "Video".
• Select the "Group" name. (e.g., Video).
• Type the video “Content Name”. (e.g., Soccer Live, Live Concert, etc.)
• Content “Permalink” is automatically generated. You can also edit the permalink.
• Select the “Content Category” from the drop-down. To know how to create a ‘Content Category’ click here. You can also instantly create a “Content Category” by clicking on the “Add Category” from the dropdown.
• Type the “Story/Description” for the content.
• Type “Search Tags” for the content. After typing the search tags, type the comma (,). You can add multiple search tags for the content that helps search the content easily by the end-users.
• Click on “Media” and then click on “Add File” under “Primary Media”.
• Under “Media Type” select “Feed”.
• Under “Feed URL” type the “Live Feed URL” i.e., HLS URL. (e.g., https://testlivefeed.m3u8).
• Click on “Upload”.
• To upload the trailer or "Preview" for the content (optional), click on “Add File” under “Preview”. You can select the video from the Asset Library (if you have already uploaded it) or you can upload it directly from your device. Please check the "Note".
• Click on "Banner" to upload a top banner for the content. Click on "Add File" to upload the banner image. You can also upload different banners for "Website", "Mobile App", TV App".
• Click on the “People” tab to add cast and crew for the content.
• Select the Person Type from the drop-down. You can also create a new type by clicking on “New Type”. Search the name of the cast in the search box and click on “Add”.
• Click on "Add On", to add a file, video, or audio with the video content. Select the 'Media Type, type the "Label Name" and "Upload" the file.
• Click on “Add File” on the extreme right to upload “Thumbnail”. You can select the image from the Asset Library (if you have already uploaded it) or you can upload it directly from your device. You can also upload posters for "Mobile App", TV Apps" if you have already created your apps.
• Click on “Save”. The content will be saved.
• To preview the content, click on the "Play Button" on the content.
• Your end-users can watch the live streaming on your website/app when they click on the play button.

Playing Live Stream Content

When the end-users play live stream content, they can see a "Live" indicator on the player if the HLS URL of an active or real-time live stream is used to create the content. For example, live streaming of news, soccer game, cricket match, boxing, etc. When the HLS URL of a playlist, a recorded live stream, or normal VOD content is used (which is not active or not in real-time) then the "Live" indicator is not displayed on the player.
