If you're developing an application that requires integration with Facebook, you'll need an App ID and App Secret. These are crucial for enabling Facebook login, fetching user data, and more. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to obtain your App ID and Secret from Facebook.

Log in to Your Facebook Developer Account

• Go to the Facebook Developer website: Visit Facebook for Developers.
• Log in: Use your existing Facebook account credentials to log in.
• Set up Developer Account: If it's your first time, you may need to set up your developer account by following the on-screen prompts.

Create a New Facebook App

Once you log in to the Developer Account, you can create a new Facebook app.

• Click on the "My Apps" option in the top-right corner.
• Click on "Create App": You'll be prompted to choose an app type.
• On the left-hand side click on “Use Cases”.
• Select the first option “Authenticate and request data from users with Facebook Login”.
• Click on “Next”.
• Under “Add an App Name”, type your app name (e.g. XYZ App).
• Under “App Contact Email” type your email address.
• Click on “Next”.
• Review the details of the app.
• Click on “Create App”.
• You will see the confirmation that the app has been created.
• Click on “Go to the Dashboard”.

Get Your Facebook App ID

Once your app is created, you’ll be directed to the app's dashboard.

• Locate App ID: The App ID is prominently displayed at the top of your app's dashboard.
• Copy the App ID: You'll need this ID to integrate your application with Facebook.

Get Your Facebook App Secret

To get your App Secret, follow these steps:

• In the left-hand menu, click on “App Settings” -->” Basic”.
• You can see the masked “App Secret”.
• Reveal the App Secret: Under the "App Secret" section, click the "Show" button.
• Copy the App Secret: Once revealed, copy your App Secret. Keep this confidential as it is crucial for your app’s security.
