How to Get Your App ID and App Secret from Facebook

If you're developing an application that requires integration with Facebook, you'll need an App ID and App Secret. These are crucial for enabling Facebook login, fetching user data, and more. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to obtain your App ID and Secret from Facebook.

Log in to Your Facebook Developer Account

• Go to the Facebook Developer website: Visit Facebook for Developers.
• Log in: Use your existing Facebook account credentials to log in.
• Set up Developer Account: If it's your first time, you may need to set up your developer account by following the on-screen prompts.

Create a New Facebook App

Once you log in to the Developer Account, you can create a new Facebook app.

• Click on the "My Apps" option in the top-right corner.
• Click on "Create App": You'll be prompted to choose an app type.
• On the left-hand side click on “Use Cases”.
• Select the first option “Authenticate and request data from users with Facebook Login”.
• Click on “Next”.

• You can see the masked “App Secret”.
• Reveal the App Secret: Under the "App Secret" section, click the "Show" button.
• Copy the App Secret: Once revealed, copy your App Secret. Keep this confidential as it is crucial for your app’s security.
