Introduction

By enabling the “Policy Engine”, you can add and manage different policies (or restrictions) that you can use for different monetization methods. Select a specific rule while adding a monetization method (i.e., Subscription, PPV, etc.) You can add policies for “Add Free” content and “Number Screens”. You can apply the policies to a specific monetization plan where you can allow your users to watch ad-free videos and access several screens per subscription. You can add as many policies as you want for different monetization plans.

How to Enable Policy Engine

• To enable the “Policy Engine” feature, navigate to “Monetization” -->” Settings” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Monetization Settings" tab.
• Enable “Policy Engine”.
• The policy engine will be enabled.

How to Add Policies

• To add policies, navigate to “Monetization”-->” Pricing Plans” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Policy Engine” tab.
• Click on “Add Policy”.
• Type the “Policy Name” (e.g., Add Free Plan, Premium Plan, etc.).
• Type the "Number of Screens” (e.g., 2, 4, 6, etc.). If you type 2 then the subscriber can watch content on a maximum of 2 screens (e.g., laptop, mobile). It only works for “Subscription” monetization.
• If you have integrated the “Advertisement” in the content, then in “Ads”, select “Enable” if you want the end-user to watch ads when they watch your content.
• Select “Disable” if you want the end-users to watch Ad FREE content.
• Click on “Save”.
• Repeat the process to add multiple policies for different monetization (e.g., subscription, PPV).

How to Add Policy to Subscription

• You can add “Policy” to a new subscription plan or to an existing subscription plan.
• To add “Policy” to a new subscription plan, select “Policy” while creating the plan and click on “Save”.
• To add “Policy” to an existing subscription plan, click on “Edit” and then select the policy and click on “Save”.

How to Add Policy to PPV (Pay Per View)

• You can add a policy to a new PPV plan or an existing PPV plan.
• To add “Policy” to a new PPV plan, select “Policy” while creating the plan and click on “Save”.
• To add “Policy” to an existing PPV plan, click on “Edit” and then select the policy and click on “Save”.
