How to Enable Mobile Number Registration and Login

How End-Users Sign Up/Login Using Their Mobile Number

Introduction

By enabling the "Registration with Mobile Number" option, you can allow your end-users to register and log in using their phone number. During registration, the end-users need to provide their mobile number. You can also enable the OTP for mobile number registration. End-users first need to verify their mobile number via the OTP, and then they can register. The email option can also be enabled for the end-users, and you can make the email field mandatory or optional.

Enabling/Adding SMS Provider

First, you must enable or add an SMS provider in the CMS, and after that, you can enable the Mobile Number Registration process for the end-users.

To enable/add an SMS Provider, navigate to “Marketing” -->” Notification Centre” in the Dashboard.
In the “Notification Centre”, click on the “Settings” tab.
In “SMS”, select “Send Notifications via SMS”.
You can select “Use Muvi’s notification engine to send SMS” if you want to use Muvi’s built-in SMS provider. In this case, charges will apply to using the SMS service.
Select “Use your own gateway to send SMS” to use any other SMS provider.
Click on “Confirm”.
Click on an SMS Provider to add (e.g., Twilio, Amazon SNS, MTN Nigeria).
Provide the SMS provider details on the right-hand side.
Click on “Save”. The SMS provider will be integrated.
