How to Add Maturity Ratings to Your Content

Introduction

Ensure compliance and control over content (video, audio) accessibility with Content Maturity Ratings. Define and assign maturity ratings within your CMS to regulate user access effectively. You can tailor the content viewing permissions based on assigned ratings, guaranteeing all users a safe and appropriate viewing experience. From kids' content to adult material, maintain peace of mind knowing that your audience accesses only what's suitable for them.

How to Enable Content Maturity Ratings

• To enable the content maturity ratings, navigate to “Content Management”-->” Content Settings” in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Settings” tab.
• Under "General Settings", scroll down to “Content Maturity Ratings”.
• Enable "Allow you to add maturity ratings to your content".
• You can view the existing content maturity ratings.
• You can edit the existing maturity ratings or delete any specific rating.
• Also, you can add additional maturity ratings by clicking on “Add More”.
• Type the “Rating Name” and “Age” in the corresponding fields and click on the tick mark. Repeat the process to add more ratings.

How to Assign Maturity Ratings to Specific Content(s)

Once the maturity rating is enabled, you can assign the ratings to specific video and/or audio content(s). You can either add the maturity rating to existing content or new content.

• Navigate to “Content Management”-->” Content Library” in the Dashboard.
• To add a maturity rating to existing content, click on the “Edit Icon” under the content.
• In the "Edit Content Page", select the maturity rating from the drop-down menu (e.g., Kids, Adult, etc.).
• Click on “Save & Publish”.
• You can also add the maturity rating while adding new content.
• Once the maturity rating is added to the content, it will be visible on the front-end website/app.

How the End-Users Manage the Maturity Ratings

Content maturity ratings can be selected by the parent user for other sub-profiles. So, you must have enabled the “Sub-Profile” feature for the end-users from the CMS and the end-user must have added at least one sub-profile for which the maturity ratings can be selected.

• To manage the content maturity ratings for the sub-profiles, navigate to “Profile” -->” Manage Profile”.
• Click on a sub-profile.
• Under “Maturity Settings” select the ratings from the drop-down menu.
• Click on “Update” to save the changes.
• Then click on “Done”.
• When the sub-profile is selected, the user (sub-profile) will only be able to watch the content added to the rating (I.e., kids, Adults, etc.) chosen for the sub-profile.
