How to Add Audio Content

Introduction

You can add audio content to Playout, such as Songs, Vocals, or Instrumentals, is a simple two-step process. In the first step, you can add the basic content metadata — including the content title, content type, group, categories, and sub-categories.

In the next step, you can enhance your content by adding a trailer, thumbnail, banner, cast and crew details, and configuring options like monetization, security, and more. This step-by-step guide will help you seamlessly add your single audio content within the CMS.

Adding an Audio Content

Step 1: Adding Basic Content Details

To add audio content, navigate to “Content Management” -->” Content Library” in the CMS.
In the Content Library, click on “Add New”.
Click on the “Edit Icon” at the top to change the content name from “Untitled Audio” to a name that you want to add for the audio.
On the right side, select the “Content Type” (e.g., Audio).
Select the “Group” (e.g., Single Part).
The “Permalink” will be automatically generated based on the content name.
Select the “Categories & Subcategories” from the dropdown menu. (Click here to know how to add and manage “Categories and Subcategories)
Under “Add Primary Media”, click on “Add” to upload a audiofor the content.
Select the “Encoding Profile” from the drop-down menu. If you have not created any encoding profile, you can select “Default Audio Profile”. Click here to know how to create an encoding profile.
You can select an audio from your computer or select an audio from the Asset Library (if you have already uploaded the audio to the Asset Library). You can also “Drag and Drop” audio files to the dialog box.
Click on “Save and Continue” in the top right corner.
The content information will be saved, and audio content will be created.

Step 2: Adding Media Assets and Advanced Features

Once the content is created, you can add “Preview Media”, “Poster”, “Banner”, and “Security” features.
Click on the “Design” tab.
Under “Preview Media”, click on the “+” icon to upload a preview media or trailer.
Under “Poster,” click on the “+” icon to upload a poster for the audio content.
Under “Banner”, click on the “+” icon to upload a banner for the audio content.
Click on the “Security” tab to add Geo-Block to the content.
You can select the Geo-Block option from the drop-down menu.
Type a “Story/Description” for the content.
Type “Search Tags” for the content.
Click on “Save” to save the added details.
Once the content is added, click on the “Play Button” on the content to preview it.
