How to Publish Your Playout Channels to Muvi One

    Introduction

The Publish to Muvi One feature allows you to publish your Muvi Playout channels directly to your Muvi One website and apps. Instead of sharing separate player links, you can make your Playout channels part of your OTT platform and allow your users to access them alongside your regular content.

Once published, your channels appear as regular content on your Muvi One platform, with support for posters, banners, categories, and frontend URLs.

Benefits of Publishing Playout Channels to Muvi One

Publishing your Playout channels to Muvi One provides the following benefits:

    • Seamless OTT experience: Users can watch your Playout channels directly from your Muvi One website and apps without being redirected to external player pages.
    • Content discovery: Published channels can appear alongside your regular videos and other content.
    • Device-specific artwork: You can add posters and banners optimized for web, mobile, and TV devices.
    • Monetization: You can use Subscriptions and Pay Per View (PPV) for your published channels, where supported.
    • Frontend URLs: Each published channel can have its own URL, making it easier to access and share.
    • Centralized experience: Channels can be presented within the same OTT platform as your regular video content.

    Prerequisites

Before publishing a Playout channel to Muvi One, ensure that:

    • You have an active Muvi Playout and Muvi One subscription.
    • The channel you want to publish is created and configured in Muvi Playout.
    • Your Muvi One website/apps are configured and available for your users.

    Enabling Display EPG Details

By enabling this feature, you can display the EPG on your Muvi One website/app. When the end-users will visit the “Content Details” page on the website, they can view the EPG of the channel.

    • To enable this feature, navigate to “Content Management” -->”Content Settings” in the Dashboard.
    • Click on the “Settings” tab.
    • Under “General Settings”, enable “Display EPG Details”.
