Introduction
VIDAA apps can be created using HTML5 (web-based) or native app frameworks that follow VIDAA’s remote-friendly UI/UX guidelines. However, VIDAA does not offer a public self-service developer portal. To publish an official VIDAA app, you must enter into a partnership with VIDAA and coordinate through their Partner Engagement process.
| Note: Currently, we support VIDAA App version U4 and later. |
Partnering and Publishing With VIDAA
Publishing an app on the VIDAA platform requires a formal process managed directly by VIDAA. The high-level steps include:
- Contact VIDAA
Initiate the process by reaching out through the VIDAA Partners page.
- Sign the Partner Contract & Pay Required Fees
VIDAA may require:
- A formal partnership contract
- An annual participation fee (depending on region and scope)
This grants access to:
- Developer documentation
- The VIDAA developer portal
- Required SDKs and certification tools
- Work With a VIDAA Partner Engagement Manager
Once the partnership is approved, you will be assigned a dedicated Partner Engagement Manager who will guide:
- App integration
- Testing
- Territory and device compliance
- Integrate & Test the App
Collaborate with your manager to:
- Build your HTML5 or native VIDAA app
- Ensure compatibility across VIDAA-supported TV models
- Ensure compliance with UI/UX guidelines
- Submit Content Metadata
Your content metadata will be integrated into the VIDAA CMS for inclusion in universal search and listings.
- Final Review & Publishing
VIDAA performs the final submission to the app store and publishes your app once it meets all platform requirements.
