How to Enable Poll in Muvi One

Introduction

Muvi One's powerful Poll feature empowers you to gather invaluable insights from your audience. By directly incorporating questions into your videos, audio, and other content, you can better understand your viewers' preferences and opinions.

As the CMS Admin, this versatile tool enables you to create engaging Polls and tag them to specific or all your content. Your end-users can then participate in these Polls, record their responses, and view the results – fostering greater audience engagement and interaction.

The data collected through Polls is essential for comprehensive analysis and informed decision-making. Leverage these insights to personalize user experiences, tailor your content, and make strategic choices that align with your audience's needs and interests.

Enabling the Poll Feature

You can enable the “Poll” feature in the Muvi Dashboard. Once the poll is enabled, you can create the questions and answers. Then, you can interact with the poll with the content.

• To enable the poll feature, navigate to “Interactivity” -->” Polls” in the Dashboard.
• Under "Polls", enable "Allows users to vote for polls while playing or streaming content".
• The poll feature will be enabled.

How to Add a Poll

Once the “Poll” feature is enabled, you can add polls in the Polls Library. You can add multiple polls for specific and/or all content.

• To add a poll, navigate to "Interactivity" -->"Polls" in the Dashboard.
• Under “Polls”, click on “Add Poll”.
• Under "Create a Poll", type a poll question. (e.g., “How is the Movie?”, “Do You Like This Video?”, etc.).
• Provide multiple options for the end-users to select (e.g., Excellent, Good, Average, etc.).
• Select the "Valid From" date and time.
• Select the "Valid To" date and time.
• Under “Applies to, select “All Content” if you want to add the poll to all your content.
• Select “Specific Content” to add the poll for specific content. You can select “Content Categories” or “Content”.
• If you select the “Content Categories", then select the "Content Categories” for which you want to add the poll.
• If you select “Content”, then select the content by typing the content name in the search. You can add a poll for multiple contents by clicking on the “+” icon.
• Click on “Save” to save the poll.

How the End-users Participate in the Poll

• First, the end-users need to login to your website and play the content for which you have added the poll.
• They can see the poll option on the top-right side of the player.
• They can click on the poll select the available options and then submit their vote.
• The end-users can also see the number of votes already added for an option.

How to View the Poll Results

The admin (you) can view the poll results in the CMS. You can view how many votes have been given to which option.

• To view the poll results, navigate to "Interactivity" -->"Polls" in the Dashboard.
• Under the “Polls”, you can see all the polls.
• On the right-hand side of a poll, click on “Poll Result Icon”.
• You can view the details of the poll results.
• Click on the "Content" drop-down to select the specific content to view the poll results. You can also select all the content to view the results of all the content.

How to Export Poll Results

The admin (you) can export the poll results in the CSV or XLSX format.

• Navigate to "Interactivity" -->"Polls" in the Dashboard
• Under the “Polls”, you can see all the polls.
• On the right-hand side of a poll, click on “Poll Result”.
• On the pop-up, click on "Export" to export the poll results.

Managing the Polls

You can manage the polls added in the CMS. You can edit a poll or delete a poll from the CMS. However, once end-users have participated in a poll, you cannot edit the poll. As editing it would compromise the integrity of their responses and the overall results.

• To edit the poll, navigate to “Interactivity” -->” Polls” in the Dashboard.
• Under the “Polls”, you can see all the polls.
• *To edit a poll, click on the “Edit Icon” on the right-hand side of the poll.
• Make the necessary changes and then click on “Save”.
• To delete a poll, click on the “Trash Icon” on the right side of the poll.
• When asked for confirmation, click on “Proceed” to delete the poll.
