How to Integrate Braintree Payment Gateway

Integrate the Braintree Payment Gateway seamlessly into your Muvi One platform. As a leading payment processing solution, Braintree offers a hosted approach, providing a secure and reliable transaction experience for your customers.

Braintree supports a wide range of payment methods, catering to the diverse needs of your business. Currently, we are pleased to offer integration with the popular PayPal payment option, allowing your end-users to utilize their preferred method of payment.

Whether you're offering one-time Pay-Per-View (PPV) content or recurring subscription models, Braintree's robust capabilities enable you to implement both monetization strategies with ease. Streamline your payment operations and provide your customers with a frictionless checkout process, all while ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance.

Integrating Braintree Payment Gateway

To add Braintree Payment Gateway,
Navigate to "Monetization" --> "Payment Gateways" in the Dashboard.
Click on Braintree (see the screenshot below).
Type the "Merchant ID", "Public Key", and "Private Key" (Which you received after you signed up with Braintree in the corresponding fields.
Click on "Save".

Note:

Currently, Braintree supports payment via PayPal only.
It supports multiple currencies from different countries.
It supports multiple countries. You can accept payments from multiple countries.
Supports Subscription and PPV (Pay Per View) monetization.
Supports "Subscription" monetization (Plan duration should be a minimum of 1 month or multiple months. Days and weeks are not allowed), and "Subscription Renewal" is possible.
At present, it is only available for "Website". However, a mobile API is available.
Currently supports "Phoenix Template" only.

How to Integrate Webhook

By integrating webhooks with your Braintree payment gateway, you can automate responses to various payment-related events. Log in to the Barinttree gateway site
Go to the Dashboard and navigate to Developers --> Webhooks.
Type the following codes

URL	https://apigateway.muvi.com/notification/braintree
Events	SUBSCRIPTION_CHARGED_SUCCESSFULLY SUBSCRIPTION_CHARGED_UNSUCCESSFULLY SUBSCRIPTION_CANCELED SUBSCRIPTION_EXPIRED

Note:

Supports event filtering: Yes
Ensure all the above events are configured.
