How to Use Multiple Content States Feature

Save drafts, schedule publications for later, unpublish content when needed, and even set specific dates for republishing. Stay organized, save time, and take full control of your content strategy.

How to Save Content as a Draft

While adding content, you can save it as a draft. The content will not get published on the front end. You can make changes to the content later and then publish it. Once the content is published, it will be available on the front end.

• Adding content is a 2-step process. In the first step, you can add the basic content metadata, including the content title, content type, group, categories, and subcategories.
• In the next step, you can enhance your content by adding a thumbnail, banner, cast and crew details, and configuring options like monetization, security, and more.
• In the first step, when you click on "Save and Continue" after adding the basic content information, by default, the content is saved as a draft.
• In the second step, you have the option to add more information, and then you can also save the content as a draft by selecting the option "Save as Draft".

How to Schedule Content to Publish Later

If you want to publish content (video, audio) on a specific date and time, then you can schedule it from the CMS while adding the content. The content will not get published immediately; it will be published on the scheduled date and time.

• Adding content is a 2-step process. In the first step, you can add the basic content metadata, including the content title, content type, group, categories, and subcategories. In the next step, you can enhance your content by adding a thumbnail, banner, cast and crew details, and configuring options like monetization, security, and more.
• In the first step, when you click on "Save and Continue" after adding the basic content information, by default, the content is saved as a draft.
• In the second step, you have the option to add more information, and then you have the option to "Save & Publish" the content to publish it immediately, or you can schedule it to publish on a future date.
• To publish the content on a future date, select "Save & Schedule" from the drop-down.
• Select the future "Date" and "Time (in UTC)" from the calendar.
• Click on "Confirm".
• Click on "Save".
• The content will be scheduled to publish on the selected date and time.
• It will be visible in the CMS but not on the front-end. The content status will show "Published" in the CMS.
• The content will get visible on the front-end on the scheduled date and time.

How to Unpublish Published Content

You can unpublish already published content (video, audio). Once the content is unpublished, it will not be visible on the front end. You can schedule a date and time to unpublish content.

• Navigate to “Content Management” -->” Content Library” in the CMS.
• Under the content (that you want to unpublish), click on the "Edit Icon".
• In the content edit page, on the top right-hand side, select "Save & Schedule" from the drop-down.
• Under “Manage Schedule”, under “Unpublish”, select the “Date” from the calendar and type the “Time” in UTC in HH: MM format.
• Click on “Confirm” and then click on “Save”.
• The content will be unpublished on the scheduled date and time and will not be visible on the front end.
