Introduction

With our Menu feature, you can create and manage the menu structure of your Mobile App. You can add Primary Menu (Side Menu) or Main Menu, Secondary Menu (Footer Menu), sub menu, rename a menu, delete a menu and manage the re-arrange the menu structure of your Mobile App.

Adding the Primary Main Menu (Side Menu)

• To add the main menu of your Mobile App, go to “Mobile & TV Apps” -->"Frontend"-->”Menu”
• Under “Set the Main Menu”, click on “Content Categories”
• Select the content categories from the list which you wish to add to the main menu
• Click on “Add to Menu”

The selected content categories will be added to the main menu of your Mobile App

• This is how the main menu or Primary Menu looks on your mobile app.

Adding Static Pages

You can add Static Pages like "About Us" and "Terms and Policy" to the main menu.

• Under "Set the Main Menu" click on "Static Pages"
• Select the static page (i.e. About Us / Terms and Policy) you want to add to the main menu
• Click on "Add to Menu"

The static page will be added to the main menu of your App.

• The "About Us" page will be displayed under the "Settings" menu of the Mobile App.

Adding Apps

• You can add Apps (If you have activated any) like Blogs, Help Center and Muvi Kart to the main menu.
• Under "Set the Main Menu" click on "Apps" Select the Apps you want to add to the main menu
• Click on "Add to Menu" Apps will be added to the main menu of your Mobile App.

Adding External Links

• You can add any external links to the main menu of your App.
• Under "Set the Main Menu" click on "External Links"
• Type the link text (For example Muvi) Type the URL (For example, https://muvi.com)
• Click on "Submit". The link will be added to the main menu of your App.

Adding User Features

You can add User Features to the Primary or Secondary Menu. These user features can be viewed under the profile menu of the website. However, on the mobile app you have to add them to the Primary or Secondary menu separately. 

• To add User Features, select the user features from the list under "User Features" and click on "Add to Menu".
• The User Featurs will be added to the Primary/Secondary menu. 

Managing Menu Structure

After adding the Main Menu, you can arrange the menus in different order, create sub menus, rename a menu and delete a menu.

• To re-arrange the menu order, simply drag and drop the menus in your desired order
• To create a sub menu, drag a menu and put it under a specific menu. It will become a sub menu of that specific menu. 
• To remove a menu, click on “Remove”. When asked for confirmation click on “Yes” to remove the menu
• Click on “Edit” to edit a specific menu. You can change the name of the menu under "Title". 
• You can not make any changes to the "Permalink" of the menu. However, you can change the "Permalink" of the "External Links"
• After making the changes click on “Save”

Note: If you have configured multiple languages on your store, then "Remove" option will be enabled when English language is selected in the CMS.  (See Below Screenshot)

Adding the Secondary Menu (Footer Menu)

You can add a secondary menu on your mobile app (only for Jade Template). The secondary menu will appear on the bottom (Footer) of your mobile app. You can also add icon for each menu. 

• To add secondary menu, navigate to "Mobile & TV Apps" -->"Frontend" -->"Menu"-->"Secondary Menu (Footer)" in the CMS. You can only see the secondary menu option, if "Jade Template" is activated.
• Click on the "Content Categories".
• Select the categories and click on "Add to Menu" to add the content categories to the Secondary Menu. 
• Once adding the menu items to the secondary menu, you can add an icon for each menu item. 
• Click on "Edit" on a specific menu. Click on "Upload" to upload an icon and then click on "Save".
• You can also add "Static Pages", "Apps", "External Links" and "User Features" to the Secondary Menu. 
• Drag and drop to re-arrange the menu structure. 
• To disable the secondary menu, select the option "Disable Secondary Menu". When asked for confirmation, click on "Yes". 

Note:

• Upto 4 more items (Excluding "Home") will be displayed on the footer menu.
• Items added after 4th menu item will show under "More" in the application.
• The secondary menu doesn't support "Sub Menu".
• If Primary Menu is enabled, do not add same menu items in both the menus to avoid duplicity.
