Introduction

At Muvi, we use Amazon CloudFront. We store video files in AWS (Amazon Web Service) S3 Bucket and stream the videos through AWS CDN. Muvi also allows you to integrate your own CDN to its platform. By integrating your choice of CDN, you can seamlessly deliver your content to your users across the globe. Before integrating your own CDN with Muvi, you can conduct a test to check whether your CDN is compatible or not on the Muvi platform.

First, you need to create an account with Muvi (you can try our 14 days Free Trial offer). Then, you need to integrate our CloudFront URL with your CDN. Once integrated, you can test the CDN by replacing the CloudFront URL with your CDN URL to view any content.

How to Get CloudFront URL

• Either you can purchase the subscription or take a 14-day Free Trial to create an account with Muvi.
• Log in to the Muvi CMS.
• Navigate to “Manage Content” -->” Image Library” in the CMS.
• Click on an image on the Image Library to open it on the browser.
• On the address bar, you can find the CloudFront URL.  You need to copy only the below-highlighted portion from the URL (e.g., d2sal5lpzsf102.cloudfront.net)

Integrating Muvi’s CloudFront URL with Your CDN

• Login to your CDN (In this help article we have explained how to conduct the test using CDN77 CDN)
• Once you logged in, click on “CDN Resources” on the left-hand side menu.
• Click on “Create New CDN Resources”.
• Type “CDN Resources Label” (e.g., My CDN, XYZ, ABC, etc.).
• In the field “Where we take the data from?” select “My Origin”.
• In the “Origin Server” field, select the port (i.e., HTTP, HTTPS, or custom).
• Paste the CloudFront URL that you copied from Muvi.
• Click on “Create CDN Resources” to complete the integration.
• Muvi’s CDN will be integrated with your CDN.

How to Conduct the Test

• Login to the Muvi CMS
• Navigate to “Manage Content” -->” Image Library” in the CMS.
• Click on any image on the Image Library to open it on the browser.
• On the address bar of the browser, replace the CloudFront URL with your CDN’s URL.
• Refresh the page.
• If the image displays on the browser, the test is successful!
