How We Charge for Using Muvi Live

Introduction

Muvi Live App allows you to live stream from your Android and/or iOS Mobile device. By using the Live App, you can live stream from anywhere. No need to set up the streaming encoders (like OBS, viMix) for live streaming. Simply signup with Muvi Live, install the Live App from the App Store (Playstore or iTunes App store) and live stream from your mobile phone’s camera. You can share a live stream by using the HLS output which you will be generated in the Live App once you will start the live streaming.

Note:

During the Free Trial period, we only allow 60 minutes of live streaming.
Muvi Live has approximately 9 seconds of latency while live streaming from the camera.
We currently do not limit the FPS (Frames Per Second) for live streams. However, the recommended FPS is 30 FPS (Recommended for most scenarios) and 60 FPS (If you want to live stream events like games or sports events)

Signup with Muvi Live

First, you need to signup with Muvi Live. We are offering a 14-day Free Trial.

To sign up with Muvi Live, please click here.
Click on “Free Trial” to take a 14-day free trial.
Provide the details, your “Name”, “Company Name”, “Phone Number”, “Email” and “Password”.
Click on “I agree to Muvi's Terms & Privacy Policy” and then click on “Next”.

How to Start & Stop Live Streaming in the Live App

To start the live stream in Live App, tap on “Start Stream”. When asked for confirmation, tap on “Yes” to start the live stream.
Tap on “Go Live” on the bottom of the app. Allow app permissions.
Wait for a few seconds to allow the app to connect to the Muvi Live Server.
Once the app is connected, you can either live stream using your main camera (back camera) of your mobile device or using the front camera. Also, you can switch between the cameras during the live streaming.
You can share the live stream feed using the HLS URL, which is automatically generated once you start the live stream. Copy the HLS URL and share it on your website/app.
To stop the live stream, tap on “Stop” on the bottom of the app. When asked for the confirmation, tap on “End Live Video”. The live streaming will be stopped.

Canceling the Subscription

You can cancel your Muvi Live subscription at any time. If you cancel your account, then all of your data including videos and metadata will be deleted 14 days after cancellation. Please make sure to export all your data before canceling the subscription.

To cancel your Muvi Live subscription, click on "Profile" in the top right corner of the CMS.
Scroll down to "Cancel Subscription".
Click on "Cancel Subscription".
Select the reason for cancellation from the list.
Type your feedback in the textbox and click on "Submit". Your subscription will be canceled. If you wish to re-activate your subscription you can do so by clicking on the "Re-Activate" link.

How We Charge for Using Muvi Live

Besides your monthly subscription fee for Muvi Live, we also charge for "Streaming Hours" and "Bandwidth".

Streaming Hours:

When you start the live stream, your streaming hours will start and when you stop the live stream, the streaming hours will be stopped. So, you need to stop the live stream from the Live App once you finished streaming. The stream hours are charged on a per-hour basis.

Bandwidth:

When your end-users watch the live stream (via HLS feed), you will be charged for the bandwidth consumed by the end-users. It is charged on a per GB (Gigabyte) basis.
