How to Change Watermark Behaviour (i.e., Static/Dynamic)

Introduction

Adding a watermark to your live stream can help stop unauthorized use and copying of your live streams. You can select the end-users IP Address and current Date as the watermark. When the end-users watch your live streaming, the watermark will be displayed on the player. The watermark moves around the screen randomly. So, it is difficult to remove it or blur it. Also, you can adjust the opacity of the watermark on the player so that your end-users can enjoy the live stream without getting annoyed. You can change the position of the watermark as well. Make it static or dynamic by selecting the options.

How to Add Watermark

• To add a watermark to your videos, navigate to “Player” --"Player Settings" in the Muvi Live CMS.
• Click on the “Security” tab.
• Select the check box “Add Watermark on the Player”.
• There are 2 options available to add as your watermark i.e., end-user “IP Address” and “Date”. If you wish you can add both options and one of them.
• Click on "Save".
• Once the watermark is added your end-users can view it on the player while they are watching your live streaming.

Adjust the Opacity Level of the Watermark

You can adjust the opacity of the watermark so that it will not annoy your end-users while they are watching the live stream.

• To adjust the watermark opacity, navigate to “Player” --"Player Settings" in the Muvi Live CMS.
• Click on the “Security” tab.
• Drag the slider to adjust the opacity level in percentage (i.e., 10%, 50%). The default level is 100%.
• Click on “Save”.
• When the end-users play the video, the opacity will be changed.

How to Change Watermark Behaviour (i.e., Static/Dynamic)

You can make the watermark behaviour to make it "Static" or "Dynamic" and change the position of the "Static" watermark. Not only that but you can also select how frequently the dynamic watermark will appear on the player as well.

• Making the Watermark Static

• To adjust the watermark behaviour, navigate to “Player” --"Player Settings" in the Muvi Live CMS.
• Click on the “Security” tab.
• Under “Watermark Behaviour”, select "Static".
• Select the position of the watermark from the drop-down. You can select the watermark to appear on the bottom left, top left, bottom right or bottom left corner of the player.
• Click on “Save”.
• When the end-users will watch your live stream, the watermark will be displayed in a fixed position on the player.

• Making the Watermark Dynamic

By default, the watermark is dynamic. However, if you have already made it “Static”, then you can again change it to dynamic. you can also select how frequently the dynamic watermark will appear on the player.

• To adjust the watermark behavior, navigate to “Player” --"Player Settings" in the Muvi Live CMS.
• Click on the “Security” tab.
• Under “Watermark Behaviour”, select "Dynamic".
• Select "Show infrequently". Type the time (i.e., 5, 10, 20, etc.) and select "Minutes" or "Seconds" from the drop-down. If you will type 5 seconds, then the watermark will appear on the player every 5 seconds interval.
