ADA compliance refers to the Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design, which states that all electronic and information technology (like websites) must be accessible to people with disabilities. This means we need to make sure to use the right colors on the website for the people who are color blinds, make sure that the texts used in the website are of a standard size so that it can be read by anyone with visual impairment, all images should have an ALT tag, based on which some text will show if the image can’t load and so on…
Muvi offers platforms (website, App) that are 50-60% ADA compliant by default via its standard templates. However, with custom development, we can make the website and/or app up to 80% ADA compliant. We charge separately for the custom development.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 covers a wide range of recommendations for making Web content more accessible. Following these guidelines will make content accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and combinations of these. We follow these guidelines to make your Web content more usable to users in general.
In order for a Web page to conform to WCAG 2.0, all of the following conformance requirements must be satisfied:
1. Conformance Level: One of the following levels of conformance is met in full.
Table 1: Success Criteria, Level A
Note: When reporting on conformance with the WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria, they are scoped for full pages, complete processes, and accessibility-supported ways of using technology as documented in the WCAG 2.0 Conformance Requirements.
