Introduction

You can install an Android App on your mobile device from an APK (Android Package Kit) file. There are two ways to install the APK file. Either you can install the APK file through the file browser or app installer, or you can do it through your email.

Prerequisites Before Installing the APK File

Before installing the APK file on your Android device, you need to change the security settings.

• You need to enable “Install from Unknown Sources” in settings.
• Navigate to “App Drawer” --> “Settings” --> “Security and Restrictions” in your mobile device to enable this option.

Installing Through File Browser/App Installer

• Download and store the APK file in a USB drive.
• Insert the USB drive into your device’s USB Port.
• Go to the App Installer or File Browser (Where you can view the APK file)
• Click on the APK file.
• You will get prompted to install the APK file. Click on “Install” to begin the installation.
• Wait for some time. It will display the "Open" and "Done" options after a successful installation.
• Click "Open" to launch the app, or navigate to the "My Apps" section to access it.

Installing Through Email

• You can also install the APK file on your Android device through your email.
• Open your email on your Android device (Mobile/Tablet).
• Open the attached APK file.
• Click on the APK file.
• You will get prompted to install the APK file. Click on “Install” to begin the installation.
• Wait for some time. It will display the "Open" and "Done" options after a successful installation.
• Click "Open" to launch the app, or navigate to the "My Apps" section to access it.
