Introduction

Integrating uploaded ad creatives, or self-hosted ads, into your videos on Muvi Flex’s platform gives administrators complete control over their advertising strategy. This feature allows you to host and manage your ad content directly on the platform, eliminating the need for external ad networks.

How to Add Ad Creative in the CMS

• Navigate to “Monetization” -->” Advertisements” in the CMS.
• Click on the “Ad Creatives” tab.
• Click on “Add Ad Creative”.
• In “Media Type”, select "Video” to create video ads or “Audio” to create audio ads from the drop-down menu.
• Type a “Name” of your Ad (e.g. Thumbs up, Pepsi, etc.).
• Type a “Click Through URL” (e.g., https://muvi.com). When the end-users click on the add they will get redirected to the URL.
• Select the “Skippable” option if you want the end-users to skip the ad after a time interval. For example, if you type 5 seconds, then the skip ad option will appear once the ad is played for 5 seconds. The end-users can skip the ad.
• Under “Primary Media”, click on “Add Media” to upload an MP4video that you want to show as an ad.
• Click on “Save”.
• The ad will be created.
• Once the ad is created, you can preview it. Also, you can “Edit” or “Delete” the Ad Tag.
• Repeat the process to add multiple ads.

Managing Creative Ads for Content

• Navigate to “Content Management “--> “Content Library“ in the CMS.
• Click on the "Edit Icon" below the content.
• In the Content Edit page, click on the "Monetization" tab.
• Under "Advertisements", under “Add Categories”, select "Ad Creative”.
• You can choose either*“Pre-roll”, *“Mid-roll”, or *"Post-roll" option, or you can also choose all three 3 options or combinations like Pre-roll + Post-Roll, or Mid-Roll Post-Roll, and so on.
• Click on "Add Pre-Roll Ad" to select the Pre-Roll option. The ad will be played from the beginning.
• Select the Tag Value from the drop-down and click on "Done".
• Click on "Mid-Roll Ad". The ad will be played in the middle. You can select the time or % of the video when the ad will appear in the video.
• Select the Tag Value from the drop-down and type the "Break Timing" (e.g., 10 seconds, 30 Seconds, or in % of video, i.e., 10%, 40%, etc.)
• Click on "Done".
• Click on "Post-Roll Ad". The ad will be played at the end of the video.
• Select the Tag Value from the drop-down and click on "Done".
• Click on “Save”.
• When the end-users play the video, they can view the ads integrated into the video. You can also check by clicking on the "Preview" button on the video content.
