Introduction

Simultaneous Streaming Restrictions allow administrators to control how many end-users can access a live stream simultaneously in Muvi Live. This feature is especially useful for creating exclusive access to premium or paywall-enabled content. By enabling Simultaneous Streaming Restrictions, you can effectively manage your audience, ensure a high-quality streaming experience, and add value to premium content.

Benefits of Enabling Simultaneous Streaming Restrictions

• Bandwidth Management: By limiting the number of concurrent viewers, admins can better control bandwidth usage and prevent unexpected surges in costs.
• Exclusive Access: For premium events, restrictions create a sense of exclusivity, driving demand and encouraging users to pay for access to limited slots.
• Improved User Experience: Limiting the audience ensures consistent streaming quality without interruptions or latency issues.

Enabling Simultaneous Streaming Restriction

• To enable the simultaneous streaming restriction, click on the "Security" menu in the Dashboard.
• Click on the “Restrictions” tab.
• Under “Limit Simultaneous Streams”, select " Maximum number of devices per account”.
• Type the number of devices that you want to allow at a time (e.g., 10, 50, 100, etc.). There is no limit to adding streaming restrictions.
• Click on “Save”.

Streaming Limit Exceed Notification for the End-users

The end-users will see the streaming limit exceed notification on their screen, once the number of maximum simultaneous users is exceeded (see the below screenshot)
