Muvi supports different formats of video and audio content. We also support videos embedded with different formats of audio (i.e. videos with multiple audio languages, tracks, channels, etc.). You can upload different formats of videos with multiple audio formats. After encoding all the audio formats in the videos remains intact and when the end-users play the video, our player is capable of playing most of the audio formats, whether it is mono, stereo, surround, Dolby, etc.
The audio channel is a passage or communication route in which a sound signal is carried from the player source to the speaker. A single audio file can have one, two, or more channels. The number of channels is the number of sound sources when the sound is recorded or the relevant speaker number when it is played back.
Types of Audio Channels:
A track is a container for audio, used to keep different sources separate. A track can contain any number of audio channels. For instance, a stereo audio track contains two audio channels, as it is comprised of a left mono feed and a right mono feed. A 5.1 audio track contains six audio channels. On most recorders, you can set up your tracks with differing numbers of channels.
Multiple audios in different languages can be added to a single video in different tracks. When users play such types of videos, they have the option to select their preferred audio language from the player. For example, while watching the movie Titanic, users can select to watch it either in English, Hindi, or Spanish, depending on the number of audio tracks in different languages integrated into the video.
