At Muvi, we provide end-to-end solutions to launch your Video on Demand, Audio On-Demand, and Muvi Kart (Physical Goods) platform. From website/mobile app templates, Content Management systems to CDN, we provide everything out of the box. However, if you need any customization for your platform which may include changing the look and feel of your website/mobile app or adding new features and functions, then we can do it for you.
Customization can be minor UI changes, modifications to an existing template, a new template altogether, a new feature, or changes in the end-user flow. Please refer to ‘Adding Support Tickets’ for more information.
Note: For custom designing (UI/UX) of the website templates, we primarily use Adobe Photoshop(.psd), Adobe XD(.xd), Figma(.fig), and Sketch.
Basically, there are 6 phases in the custom development process.
1. Understanding Your Requirement
The first step to this process is understanding your requirement and the associated use cases.
To share your requirement, we recommend adding a support ticket with a brief description of the changes or features required along with additional technical documentation or references as and when possible.
2. Analysis and Feasibility
After receiving your request, clarifying our questions (if we have any) we will do a detailed analysis of your requirement and the changes involved.
3. We Share a Quote and Time-frame
We will share an estimate (that includes development and QA) and a tentative timeframe required, and the additional cost needed in terms of DevHours (Development Hours).
Custom development is charged in terms of DevHours or Development Hours in most cases. DevHours can be purchased from the CMS using one of the three available options i.e. in multiples of either 10 Hours, 100 Hours, and 1000 Hours. You need to purchase the DevHours as per your requirement once you have a quote from us. (For more information on how to purchase DevHours, please Click Here).
If you have purchased extra DevHours or have any remaining DevHours after custom development, you can use them for any other custom development in the future.
For Example: If we will need 5 DevHours for custom development, then you need to purchase 10 DevHours. We will use 5 DevHours and the remaining 5 DevHours can be utilized for any other custom development in the future.
4.DevHours Approval
After we are in agreement on the scope of work and the quote, we will assign the quoted DevHours to the support ticket that needs to be approved at your end. You will get an approval request in your CMS. (For more information on how to approve DevHours, please Click Here). After your approval of DevHours on the ticket, we will charge the same from the DevHours available on your account.
5. Start of Work
After the DevHours are charged, we will start working on your request and share regular updates on the progress via the ticket.
6. Completion and Delivery
We will get back to you after the development and QA is completed for final delivery.
